about

Accidents are merely things we didn't intend.

Yet, try as we might to deny their existence, the world is built on them.

Oil spills. That sneeze. That car crash. That "act of God". That fluke discovery. That last-minute phone call. That stroke of luck. That stroke of genius. That conception. That birth. That death. That moment when true love is found unexpectedly in the unlikeliest of places or persons.

To think that accidents might be anything more than blunders is illogical; besides it would be sacrilege to the prevailing economy of thought. It would be a direct affront to the belief that humans, and especially wealthy white men, are entitled to total control and exploitation of everything they can touch. What would it mean for our sanity if we knew our accidents were actually driving us, and we were not the ones steering the ship?

What purpose could there be in falling into a tree with your knee? Could it be, though, that it's actually necessary?

Studying the domino row in the pattern of choices you've made, can you see, if you could, in the tattered remains, life leading you, showing you, slowing you down, into the ground?

Sound produces patterns, frequencies of thought, focused energy, reprints and repetitions. We are what we absorb, acoustic chambers, sound makers, we are.

"There are no accidents," the sages say. Perhaps they only seem that way because it's a reflection of the degree we're off-kilter. So "be here now" and the way will be opened, showing us, slowing us, through the next filter.

about

Amalghemy St. Louis, Missouri

Our music is only sold online on at 7777.bandcamp.com and in person by some band members.
We were a Shamanic Percussion and instrumental band. We are not on a record label. No-one paid us to make music. We had over 15 band members. We played tons of shows and colleges and did small tours.
Amalghemy has drum samples for sale at the top of the page. I call in the white light of the Christ.
